School Policies

All dancers and family members are to show respect and kindness to all other dancers, families and professionals (in accordance with ScotDance Canada Code of Conduct). Bullying, harassment and ant-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from classes with no refund provided.

Dancers are to arrive at class ready to dance with shoes and dancewear already on. Please have your younger dancers use the bathroom before leaving home to minimize bathroom disruptions during the class.

Dancers may only be allowed entrance into the studio at the start time of their class and will be dismissed promptly at the end of their class time. There is no supervision of children outside of class times.

Dancers and parents may arrive 5-10min prior to class time however we require you are quiet and respectful to the other patrons at our Halifax studio location (Kachan Physiotherapy).

Parents are welcome to either sit in the waiting area while their child attends class or drop them off. Parents of dancers age 6 and under must remain in the waiting area during class time to accompany their child to the bathroom and be present should their child become ill.

Parents are not present within the studio during class time, however on occasion they may be invited in at the end of class to show what was worked on and how to help their dancer practice at home.

No smoking is allowed on the property and no pets are allowed inside.

Term Fees are due on the first day of each term, late fees may apply. There are no refunds for term fees if a dancer withdraws.

Make-up classes will only be provided to those who miss class because of illness. This will be managed on a case by case basis with alternate class times provided by your instructor.
